Kendrick, Howard and Gleeson add to 'Company'

Thesps join Robert Redford's political thriller

The company for director Robert Redford's latest pic "The Company You Keep" continues to expand in impressive fashion, as Oscar-nominated thesps Anna Kendrick and Terrence Howard, respected character actors Brendan Gleeson and Sam Elliott, and newcomer Jackie Evancho, an 11-year-old finalist on "America's Got Talent," have joined the ensemble cast.

Quintet joins Redford, Shia LaBeouf, Brit Marling, Nick Nolte, Susan Sarandon, Richard Jenkins, Julie Christie, Stephen Root, Stanley Tucci and Chris Cooper in the Lem Dobbs-scripted pic, which is based on the novel by Neil Gordon.

Redford stars as Jim Grant, a former Weather Underground militant wanted by the FBI for 30 years who must go on the run when a young, ambitious reporter (LaBeouf) exposes his true identity.

Kendrick will play Diana, a young FBI agent and LaBeouf's former flame who provides him with information he needs to uncover the truth about Grant and the Bank of Michigan robbery.

Howard will play Cornelius, the senior FBI agent on the case who has relentlessly pursued Grant across the nation and now leads the task force assigned to take down the Weather Underground fugitives who have been on the run for three decades.

Gleeson will play Henry Osborne, the retired Michigan Chief of Police who investigated the bank robbery in the 1960s.

Elliott will play Mac, Christie's employer in the marijuana trade who used to be romantically involved with her.

Evancho will play Redford's daughter, who recently lost her mother and is unaware of her father's militant past.

Voltage Pictures and Redford's Wildwood Enterprises banner are teaming to produce the political action thriller, which is currently filming in Vancouver. Redford and his Wildwood partner Bill Holderman are producing with Nicolas Chartier of Voltage. whose Craig J. Flores is exec producing.

CAA reps Kendrick and Howard, while WME reps Evancho. Elliot is repped by ICM and Hofflund/Polone, while The Agency and Principal Entertainment rep Gleeson.
