Samuel L. Jackson and Dominic Cooper will topline indie legal thriller "Reasonable Doubt," formerly "The Good Samaritan."

Pic is scheduled to start shooting in Canada on Nov. 19.

"Reasonable Doubt" is written by Peter Dowling ("Flightplan") and will be directed by Peter Howitt ("Sliding Doors").

The film is a co-production between Paradox Entertainment, South Creek Pictures, and Bavariapool. Producers are Fredrik Malmberg and Daniel Wagner of Paradox Entertainment, Dave Valleau of South Creek Pictures, and Silvio Muraglia and Frank Buchs of Bavariapool. John Ptak is executive producer.

Voltage Pictures handles international sales.

"Reasonable Doubt" centers on an up-and-coming assistant D.A. prosecuting a fatal hit-and-run case with inconclusive evidence. Following the trial, the assistant D.A finds himself struggling to hunt the man he got acquitted.

Cooper was most recently seen in "The Devil's Double" and "My Week with Marilyn."

Project was originally announced in March by Variety.

Valleau's credits include "Push" and "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus." Paradox's library includes such brands as Conan the Barbarian, Kull of Atlantis, Solomon Kane, Mutant Chronicles and the works of Robert E. Howard.

Howitt's directing credits include "Antitrust," "Johnny English," "Laws of Attraction" and "Dangerous Parking," which he adapted, produced and played the lead.

Cooper is repped by CAA, Jackson is repped by ICM Partners and Dowling is repped by APA.
