Variety Studio set for Sundance

Sixth annual edition set to launch Jan. 19 at fest

The sixth annual edition of the Variety Studio, featuring interviews with top directors, writers, producers and stars, is set to launch Jan. 19 at this year's Sundance Film Festival, with the resulting videos streaming on Variety.com.

Expected guests to be interviewed by Variety's editorial team, led by news editor Stuart Oldham, include Jessica Biel ("Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes"), Steve Carell ("The Way, Way Back"), Dakota Fanning ("Very Good Girls"), James Franco ("Interior. Leather Bar," "Kink"), Joseph Gordon-Levitt ("Don Jon's Addiction"), Nicole Kidman ("Stoker"), Josh Lucas ("Big Sur"), Ellen Page ("The East"), Guy Pearce ("Breathe In"), Daniel Radcliffe ("Kill Your Darlings"), Paul Rudd ("Prince Avalanche"), Amanda Seyfried ("Lovelace"), Naomi Watts ("Two Mothers"), Evan Rachel Wood ("The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman") and Shailene Woodley ("The Spectacular Now").

"The Variety Studio continues to attract the most important names in entertainment, because the industry's major creative talents value the chance to speak on the record -- on camera -- with journalists who not only understand the work they do but who also appreciate the complexities of the modern entertainment business that they're such a vital part of," said Variety publisher Michelle Sobrino-Stearns.

The Variety Studio interviews will be conducted Jan. 19-22 at a private location on Main Street in Park City. Sponsors include Dockers, the Sierra Club, Speck, Hint Water, Peninsula Chicago & Illinois Film Office and Skype.
