Berlin: Voltage Pre-Sells Sam Worthington’s ‘The Titan’ to Multiple Territories

Voltage Pictures has pre-sold elevated sci-fi movie “The Titan,” which stars Sam Worthington, Taylor Schilling and Tom Wilkinson, to several territories. The pic started to shoot this week in Gran Canaria.

Buyers include Wild Bunch (Germany), TF1 Video (France), Bona (China) and ERC (Korea), as well as distributors in several other territories.

Set in a not-too-distant future, the story tracks the journey of a military family that is relocated to take part in a groundbreaking experiment of man’s genetic evolution into space.

Lennart Ruff directs the project, which is produced by Leon Clarance, Ben Pugh, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Arash Amel and Fred Berger. Max Hurwitz (“Hell on Wheels”) wrote the screenplay based on an original story by Arash Amel (“Grace of Monaco”).

The film is exec produced by Rory Aitken and Josh Horsfield for 42, and Jonathan Decter and Nicolas Chartier for Voltage. Leon Clarance and Motion Picture Capital will produce and fully finance. CAA is handling domestic sales.
